So. Check out this OCT if you haven't already:

The premise? You get to be any character from history ever, and you join forces with Gandhi in order to stop Hitler, who has a timemachine and is up to shenanigans. I'm. Not. Making. This. Up.

I haven't decided if I want to join. I'm incredibly tempted because of the sheer undistilled awesome of this. But I probably won't have the time, and I had promised myself some rest after Hotel Haven ends, so yeah. Still not out on it.

So anyway. If I were to play, I'd probably pick Lewis Carroll, the man who wrote Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Why? Because I wrote my thesis on the subject so I know quite a lot about this man, and I'm absolutely fascinated by both him and his writings. I mean, the man was a master of logic, a math genius, a magician, a reverend, a writer and a photographer. Plus he's got a girly man posture, a Victorian wardrobe, a permafrown and he stutters. He also had serious migraines which are said to have influenced how he wrote Wonderland. Awesome. <33

You may or may not have noticed that I am leaving out the rumors that he was a pedophile. This is because I simply don't believe this to be true; I researched the man for almost a year and never saw any solid evidence for this. He had unusual friendships with children, yes, but as far as anyone knows he's never laid a hand on any of them.

Congratulation on making one of the few more than just decent Lewis Carroll artwork there is on deviant art. I was longing for a good cartoon-style Charles Dodgson and this one is fantastic!

This. Is. Fantastic. I'm an English major/adoring fan of the Victorian period and Carroll came immediately to my mind too when I saw this tournament, and I started to draw, but you've pretty much nailed him in terms of the style I envisioned already. If you do decide you want to do this later, but feel like you don't have time to make the kind of entry you'd like, let me know...It sounds really presumptuous of me, but it'd be amazing to see this done, only I'm rather too shy to try it alone, so I'd love and be honored to give you an assist in any way I can. Ehehe....

Hee. AnachonismOCT appeared to affiliate with one of the groups I'm in (unfortunately I'm not high enough ranked to confirm it) so I found myself back here (which isn't a bad thing at all).
I'm genuinely considering joining, but I'm in a tourney for another group (BFOI) and I have exams in two monthssss. I just don't know! Haha :D and then I was torn between Marlowe or Shakespeare (haha <<). Has your status on this group changed?

I love how many people are or were planning on picking writers, haha. But seriously, Shakespeare sounds like he could kick some ass; I'd pick him.^^

And no; I'm still not going to join, pretty much for the same reasons as you; too busy. Shame though; I would have liked to try this and have a chesire cat kick Hitler's ass or something.

I'm absolutely rubbish at history! I only know Royalty of England from Richard III to James the I... which is five generations but I've only learnt them through Shakespeare! :P I will see how I get on, but the deadline is ages away :D So plenty, plenty of time!

I'd love to see you with LCarolll having the cat kick ass :D

HH is going okay, I suppose. The script/plot is finished and I have some rough sketching; busy worklife keeps me from doing anything else right now. D:<

I agree with his not being a pedo. Nude photos of kids, bizarrely, were actually the fashion back then - and he didn't do all that many, AND the parents all said he was a perfect gentleman during the process.
